Botox ® Cosmetic: BOTOX ® Cosmetic A non-surgical cosmetic procedure in which a medical protein called Botulinum A Toxin is injected into the targeted area, most commonly frown lines, lines around the eye (crow’s feet), lines and wrinkles between the brows, upper lip area and necklines, to temporarily relax the facial muscles around the area.

Botox injections smooth and diminish the appearance of the wrinkles in the treated area, creating a more relaxed, youthful appearance. Because the muscles are unable to contract, Botox may actually prevent new lines and wrinkles from forming.

A series of injections every three to six months can maintain desired results. Anesthesia is not typically required. Injections are performed in the office and clients can leave after the treatment. Botox procedures are typically completed within ten to thirty minutes.

Effects of Botox on the treated areas are usually noticeable within two to five days. Discomfort and/or bruising from the injections are usually minor and of short duration.
